UK involvement in the ELT

Get Involved

One role of the UK ELT Programme Office is to provide support and information to the UK astronomical community on the scientific and instrumentation developments towards this hugely exciting future facilty. There are various ways to learn more and/or get involved:

  • Join us at one of the scientific meetings related to the ELT. A list of future (and past) meetings is available on our meetings page.

  • Sign-up to our mailing list for ELT related information and announcements: UK ELT subscribe

  • If you want to include topics related to future ELT science in grant proposals and require advice and information please contact us.

  • If you have a science case for one of the proposed instruments and would like to contact the instrument's UK PI/Co-I you can find their contact details on our contacts page.

  • If you would like to include ELT material in science and/or public talks please see our online resources or contact Aprajita Verma.

  • If you would like to join one of the ELT Working Groups please contact Aprajita Verma or Ruben Sanchez-Janssen
