Preliminary E-ELT Concept Image, courtesy of ESOSTFC and partner organisations will be in Edinburgh to showcase the procurement opportunities from large international science facilities. This free event will explain how to access contracts at these facilities and introduce you to the UK liaisons for industry.

Delegates will hear about the opportunities available at:

  • ESO - the European Southern Observatory which is building the E-ELT, the extremely large telescope in Chile.
  • CERN - Based in Geneva, Switzerland, CERN is the world's largest particle physics laboratory and home of the Large Hadron Collider.
  • ITER - a fusion project being built in Cadarache, France, which aims to demonstrate that it is possible to produce commercial energy from fusion.
  • SKA - the square kilometre array, an international effort to build the world's largest radio telescope. The SKA telescopes will be co-located in Africa and in Australia.

Delegates will also have the chance to book a meeting with the UK industry liaisons for these projects, subject to availability.
