Preliminary E-ELT Concept Image, courtesy of ESO The European Southern Observatory designs, builds and operates a suite of the most powerful ground-based astronomical observing facilities in the world. The UK is a member of ESO, which allows our astronomers to use these telescopes to answer fundamental questions in science but also allows UK companies to tender for contracts in a variety of different industry sectors.

You are invited to meet key members of the ESO team and hear about current and future tender opportunities. This meeting will have a particular focus on upcoming contracts in software and control engineering for the European Extremely Large Telescope, but will be of interest to companies from any sector wishing to engage with contract opportunities in big science.

The meeting is co-located with SPIE Astronomical Telescopes and Instrumentation 2016 and the timing of the event is such that you will be able to attend the free SPIE conference exhibition during the day before joining us for a networking buffet and presentations from the ESO team.
