This website represents the interests of the UK in the ELT project. Our aim is to communicate the excitement and opportunities of the ELT to a wide-ranging audience, including professional astronomers, UK industry, educators and science communicators, and the general public.
This website has been developed as part of the UK ELT Project Office, funded by the Science & Technology Facilities Council to coordinate ELT activities within the UK. The principal partners in the UK ELT programme are University of Cambridge, Durham University, University of Oxford, and the UK Astronomy Technology Centre, in close collaboration with the European Southern Observatory.
